About

Flatcat is the online and creative identity for myself, David Ronnie, a Canadian designer currently residing in Vancouver. I moved here last summer from Edmonton to pursue my Bachelor’s of Design at the Emily Carr University of Art + Design which I have now completed my first year in.
I’m an extremely adept, self-motivated interactive designer/developer who is always pursuing new ideas, mediums, and technologies to push my creativity in different directions. I’m fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Dreamweaver as well as have an above-average knowledge developing with Actionscript 2.0 and hand-coding xhmtl-strict. I’m not, however, a standards junkie that will reverse-engineer for IE 6 or be adamant that my code validates. I have production-level talents in InDesign and am in the process of bringing myself up to speed in Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D and Actionscript 3.0. While I am typically fairly busy dealing with my work as a freelancer and learning new things as noted previously, I am always open to possible job offers in the Vancouver area or to participate in global projects. Hit me up in any of the ways in the left column under the connect heading and let’s chat. I love meeting new people.
